Many things are vying for our attention on a daily basis and with the fast pace of living today, people do not have time to linger or mull over a lot of things for a very long time. Associate degree programs are usually offered at community colleges or technical schools and would run for four semesters.

Students in this degree program would typically go through courses in illustration and design using various design applications such as Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat and Macromedia Freehand. By using these programs they would be able to create their own designs and learn various techniques on shaping and reshaping images and text.

Web design would also be included in this program as the skills in HTML and XHTML are needed to create and design innovative websites that are functional and artistic at the same time.

Developing a design aesthetic through art history and photography is needed to expand the creative eye and be able to differentiate good from bad aesthetics.

Programs in advertising may also be included to develop the skills needed to make a visually stimulating advertisement whether it is as small as a foot ad or as huge as a highway billboard. Skills needed would be skills in computer graphics, layout design and color layout design and even product layout to make an advertisement pop out and make any bystander take notice.

Taking the AAA degree in Digital Graphic Arts will give you the skills on visual design, for online or offline applications. It will train you to have a critical eye over creative material whether in visuals or in typography to see what works and what does not work. It will give you confidence in yourself and in your design aesthetic.

With these skills you would be able to enter into the design industry which is highly lucrative but very demanding and challenging. There are always new computer programs being developed for digital graphic artists and one always has to keep up with what’s new and relevant.

The digital graphic arts industry is growing now more than ever due to the demand for better advertisements, better websites, better retail spaces and even better product designs. The skills of a digital graphic artist would go a long way in the digital age of today.
